Vancouver Mayor Anne McEnerny-Ogle announced Wednesday that she will run for a third term.
McEnerny-Ogle said in a statement that she is committed to preserving the city’s “exceptional quality of life.”
She said she will work to improve the city’s safety, shore up critical infrastructure such as transportation and utilities, support economic development, pursue climate-friendly policies, increase affordable housing, address homelessness and build equitable communities.
McEnerny-Ogle, the first woman to serve as the mayor of Vancouver, took office in 2018.
“I am excited to continue this journey and seek re-election to ensure Vancouver remains a safe, welcoming, and prosperous city for generations to come,” McEnerny-Ogle said.
