PLS Engineering recently welcomed Calvin Hillman-Johnson as the newest civil engineer on the team.

Hillman-Johnson graduated from Oregon State University with a bachelor of science in civil engineering. He was a member of the concrete canoe team during college and has valuable experience from an internship with a local concrete contractor where he was involved in both estimating and project management.

Additionally, Hillman-Johnson was an active member of the American Council of Engineering Companies from 2018 to 2020 and has been a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers since 2022.

New Business News

Floor Covering International and California Closets will have a grand opening of their new shared showroom and design center, 106 Grand Blvd., Suite 101 in Vancouver.

The grand opening will be 4 p.m. Thursday at the showroom, kicking off with a ribbon-cutting.

“My wife and business partner, Amy, and I have been proudly serving Vancouver residents for 20 years, and it means the world to us to be able to open a second showroom here in our community,” said Toby Tabor, president of Floor Coverings International of Vancouver.

Based in Tualatin, Ore., California Closets of Oregon has been serving the Vancouver area since 1984.
