The Clark County Sheriff’s Office is seeking tips to identify a man deputies say shot a 61-year-old man Tuesday afternoon at a Hazel Dell mobile home park.

Deputies responded about 5:30 p.m. to Callaham’s Mobile Court, 10804 N.E. Highway 99, for reports of a shooting. They arrived to find a man had been shot in the lower leg. Deputies provided medical care to the man until he was taken to an area hospital. The sheriff’s office said he remained in stable condition Wednesday morning.

Investigators determined the shooting victim had entered a neighboring mobile home where an unidentified man shot him. When detectives served a search warrant at the mobile home, they found a large amount of blood. They did not find a gun, but they found a bullet below the unit’s floor, according to a sheriff’s office news release.

The agency’s Major Crimes Unit is investigating. Detectives do not yet have a description of the shooter, the news release states.

The sheriff’s office asks anyone with information to contact the unit’s tip line at 564-397-2847.
