Chef Becky McGrath grew up in a food-focused family in Portland with roots in New York. A chance viewing of a “Today” show segment on Ballymaloe Cookery School in Cork County, Ireland, as a child began a culinary career that started at Western Culinary Institute and continued at the very farm she saw on TV.
