‘I want to be an insect.’ ‘I want to be a moth’: Forest School in Salmon Creek immerses kids in nature’s lessons

PNWK classes are held outdoors, rain or shine

A Clark County school for young children uses the great outdoors as its classroom, rain or shine.

On Thursday, eight youngsters in one of PNWK Forest School’s classes explored Salmon Creek. They spotted a dead trout, and several students splashed into the creek for a closer look. A teacher pulled the carcass to shore.
