Evergreen school board unanimously approves resolution protecting students from immigration enforcement on campus

After a month of deliberating and considering student feedback, Evergreen Public Schools’ board on Tuesday unanimously approved a resolution protecting students from immigration enforcement on campus.

Clark County school districts have been reexamining their policies since a Jan. 21 directive from the Department of Homeland Security opened the door for immigration officers to detain people in previously protected places, including schools.
