Hough now

The Hough Foundation will host the Paddy Hough Parade at noon Monday, St. Patrick’s Day, starting at Hough Elementary School, 1900 Daniels St., Vancouver. The parade, which lasts about 45 minutes, will head north on Daniels to 24th Street, then proceed east to Main Street, followed by a southward march to McLoughlin Boulevard, returning to the school. The best viewing spots are along Main Street between 24th Street and McLoughlin. Learn more at houghfoundation.org.

Pipes for Paddy

Vancouver Mall, 8700 N.E. Vancouver Mall Drive, Vancouver, will host a St. Patrick’s Day celebration from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday featuring Irish dance, bagpipe and drum performances in the Center Court near Forever 21 and Round1. Visitors can see a free a dance performance by the Yeates Academy of Irish Dance presented by the Vancouver Mall Public Library from 1 to 1:45 p.m. followed by the Fort Vancouver Pipe Band from 2 to 2:30 p.m. Learn more at shopvancouvermall.com.

Go cloverboard

The family-friendly Felida Shamrock Run is 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday starting at Mahoney’s Public House, 10714 N.W. Lakeshore Ave., Suite 105. The run starts at 10 a.m. sharp. Walkers, joggers and runners are welcome. Registration is $35 to $75. Proceeds benefit Vancouver Success Academy’s IMPACT program via the Foundation for Vancouver Public Schools. There will be prizes for the most festive costumes. Register at clbn.us/FelidaRun.

Love letters

Starbird Theatre presents the romantic dramedy “Dear Jack, Dear Louise” in the Sherman Auditorium at the Washington State School for the Blind, 2214 E. 13th St., Vancouver. Set during World War II, the story follows a military doctor stationed in Oregon who writes to an actress and dancer in New York City. They hope to meet but the war may end the relationship before it starts. The play is based on Tony Award-winning playwright Ken Ludwig’s parents’ real courtship. Showtimes are 7:30 p.m. Saturday and March 21 and 22, with matinees at 2 p.m. Sunday and March 23. Tickets are $20 at starbirdtheatre.com or $22 at the door.

Sing a new song

The Clark College Concert Choir, directed by Jacob Funk with accompanist Dr. Jeongmi Yoon, presents its Winter Concert at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church, 401 E. 33rd St., Vancouver. The concert is open to the public and admission is free though donations are welcome. The Concert Choir will travel to San Francisco during spring break, and this concert features all its tour repertoire, drawing from German Romanticism, Joni Mitchell, Filipino folk music, spirituals and Renaissance polyphony.
