Seeds and sounds

Pianist Jordan Nylander will perform the world premiere of “The Old Apple Tree,” an original composition about Vancouver’s Old Apple Tree, at 6:30 p.m. Friday at St. Luke-San Lucas Episcopal Church, 426 E. Fourth Plain Blvd., Vancouver. The concert also will feature works by Sibelius, Bach’s “English Suite No. 3 in G minor,” and other original music by Nylander. Come at 6 p.m. to hear an update about the church’s community and participate in a seed swap. Seed-swappers should bring a labeled envelope with seeds or a plant start. Admission is free. Child care will be provided for children 5 years old and younger.

Tiny beautiful things

Little Art Camas is an exhibit and sale of original small-scale artworks created by local artists of all ages. All art is $20 at the show from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday and noon to 4 p.m. Saturday at Fuel Medical, 314 N.E. Birch St., Camas. The show also features live music by Bret Malmquist, drinks, refreshments and a Friday silent art auction. Proceeds support Camas public art. Learn more at downtowncamas.com/event/littleartcamas/.

Quilt quest

The North Clark Historical Museum, 21416 N.E. 399th St., Amboy, will host its annual Quilt Show from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and noon to 4 p.m. Sunday. The theme is “Quilting Builds Friendships.” The Chelatchie Quilters make and donate a quilt to the museum every year for a raffle fundraiser. Green speed

Why Racing Events will host the Couve Clover Run starting at 9 a.m. Sunday at 695 Waterfront Way, Vancouver. Celebrate in festive green and support local charities while running or walking 3, 7 or 10 miles along an extremely fast and scenic course. The Lucky Leap 1-mile walk has been added for those who want a shorter distance but still want a shirt, medal, food and beer. There is also an untimed 3-mile walk division. The post-event party will be hosted by Why Racing Events and downtown Vancouver pubs and breweries. The cost varies from $30 for the Lucky Leap to $80 for the 10-mile run. Register at whyracingevents.com/couve-clover-run/.

Good to grow

The Watershed Alliance of Southwest Washington will offer a free screening of “Native Seeds: Supplying Restoration,” from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Columbia Room at the Vancouver Community Library, 901 C St., Vancouver. This is a nine-part video series that explores the native seed supply chain in the western United States. Pizza will be provided, including gluten-friendly and vegan options. Attendees should bring their own water bottles. Register at thewatershedalliance.org/?portfolio=film-series.
