Nominees for The Columbian 2024-25 Week 25 high school athlete of the week sponsored by Killer Burger

Athletes are from Camas, Washougal, Columbia River, Ridgefield and Prairie

Here are the nominees for The Columbian 2024-25 Week 25 high school athlete of the week, sponsored by Killer Burger.

Voting will continue until 7 p.m. Wednesday.

To avoid vote manipulation, participants are being asked to log-in with their Columbian.com account or to sign-up for a free account before casting a vote.

Nominees are selected by The Columbian staff after a review of the previous week’s results. Suggestions for nominees can by made by anyone, but must be received by 6 p.m. Sunday for consideration.

Winners of the athlete-of-the-week may not be nominated again during the regular season, and no athlete may be nominated in consecutive weeks.

Nominees are posted and voting begins each Monday and runs through Wednesday.

Here are the nominees:

CHARLIE BARR, CAMAS BASEBALL: The junior went 6 for 10 with three runs, a double and four RBI and threw 7 innings with one earned run in three wins for the Papermakers.

LUKE LIVENGOOD, WASHOUGAL BOYS TRACK AND FIELD: The senior threw a personal best of 166 feet, 5 inches to win the javelin at the Panther Twilight meet.

MACKENZIE MOORE, PRAIRIE SOFTBALL: The junior went 4 for 9 with six runs, two home runs and 5 RBI and pitched 14 innings with two earned runs and 19 strikeouts in two wins for the Falcons.

SARAH PROCTOR, RIDGEFIELD GIRLS TRACK AND FIELD: The senior cleared a 2A-state-best 10 feet, 6 inches in the pole vault in a meet against Columbia River.

MASON RENNER, COLUMBIA RIVER BOYS SOCCER: The junior had two goals and three assists in two wins for the 2A Greater St. Helens League champions.

All-Region Sports Awards Ceremony

The Columbian will be hosting its second annual All-Region Sports Awards Ceremony on Tuesday, June 3, 2025 at The Hilton Vancouver Washington.
The event will be 6-8 p.m. Admission is $15 and includes food and drink. Tickets are available now by clicking on link.
