Camas police arrested a 19-year-old man in connection with a Thursday morning armed robbery.
Police responded at 5:23 a.m. to the 2400 block of Northwest Magnolia Street for reports of a disturbance.
When officers arrived, a group of people reported an armed robbery. Officers found the suspect, identified as Haven R. Akuna-Feist of Vancouver, in a vehicle parked nearby and arrested him. Police booked Akuna-Feist into the Clark County Jail on suspicion of first-degree robbery and second-degree assault, according to a police news release.
Police found a loaded .38 caliber handgun and a black mask at the scene that the victim reported the robber was wearing. Officers also recovered the victim’s property, the news release states.
No one was injured, and police said Akuna-Feist was the only suspect.
Investigators determined Akuna-Feist and the victim did not know each other, but they have a mutual acquaintance, according to the news release.
