DNA, dedication bring WWII casualty homeU.S. Navy Musician Second Class Francis E. “Ham” Dick, of Woodland, was among the 429 people who died on the USS Oklahoma during the attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941. His remains were just identified and now he's coming home nearly 80 years later. Dick’s younger sister, Vancouver resident Carole Green, is his closest surviving relative and one of the few people alive who knew him firsthand. The services were held at Vancouver Funeral Chapel and Fort Vancouver Military Cemetery.
