BRISTOL, Conn. (AP) — Television ratings were up big for the women’s NCAA final as Stanford pushed undefeated Connecticut into a close game.

The Huskies’ 53-47 win Tuesday night on ESPN earned a 2.7 rating. That’s a 29 percent increase from last year’s 2.1 for UConn’s rout of Louisville.

The Cardinal led 20-12 at halftime, putting the Huskies’ win streak in jeopardy for the first time this season. UConn rallied to extend its record run to 78 straight victories and earn its second straight championship.
