The city of Battle Ground has received the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Government Finance Officers Association.
The award recognizes the city for its 2008 comprehensive annual financial report. The award is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting, according to a news release from the city.
Mayor Michael Ciraulo presented the award to Finance Director Catherine Huber Nickerson at the city council meeting Monday.
