CARNATION, Wash. (AP) — A King County sheriff’s deputy on routine patrol near Carnation ran off Highway 203 early Thursday and flipped his car in a ditch.

The deputy was able to get out and radio for help. Injuries appeared minor. He was taken to a Bellevue hospital as a precaution.

Deputies who responded to the scene say his patrol car apparently hydroplaned on the wet road.
