A woman ended up in a hospital Wednesday afternoon following a head-on collision in the Hockinson area.

The accident was reported at 12:12 p.m. in front of 18111 N.E. 182nd Ave. According to emergency radio traffic monitored at The Columbian, two vehicles collided head-on.

The injured woman was in a red Honda Insight. She was taken to Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center. Occupants in the other vehicle were OK, according to radio traffic.

The road was blocked temporarily by the accident and its aftermath.

Sgt. Bill Roberts with the Clark County Sheriff’s Office said Wednesday evening that he didn’t know the injured woman’s name. But he said he was told she was taken to the medical center for neck pain and had no apparent injuries. She turned in front of a small pickup, Roberts said.
