SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. (AP) — Quality Road, undefeated in three starts this year and ranked as the nation’s leading male thoroughbred, has been made the 2-5 morning line favorite for Saturday’s Whitney Invitational at Saratoga.

Quality Road drew the No. 3 post Wednesday in a six-horse field for the $750,000, 1 1/8-mile Grade 1 race. The 4-year-old colt trained by Todd Pletcher will be ridden by John Velazquez.

Stephen Foster Handicap winner Blame is the second choice at 4-1 and drew the No. 2 post. Rounding out the field are 2009 Kentucky Derby winner Mine That Bird, Haynesfield, Jardim and Musket Man.

Quality Road led throughout in winning the Metropolitan Handicap on May 31 in his last start.
