ARLINGTON, Wash. (AP) — Police have arrested two boys accused of causing $100,000 damaged to school buses in Arlington.
Detectives arrested one 17-year-old early Thursday in Arlington and another 17-year-old in the Seattle area.
Both were booked into the Denny Youth Center in Everett for investigation of burglary.
Vandals broke into the Arlington school bus barn over the weekend and broke windows and caused other damage to more than 40 buses.
Assistant City Administrator Kristin Banfield says a tip led investigators to the boys.
Repair crews hope to have the buses ready by Aug. 16 for a state inspection.
