Got an itch to serve the public? The Clark County commissioners are accepting applications to fill an unexpired term on the Mosquito Control Board of Trustees.

Applicants must live in Commissioner District 3, which is essentially the city of Vancouver but does include one section of Hazel Dell and Walnut Grove.

The board oversees the Mosquito Control District.

It meets quarterly, with meetings scheduled in November, February, May and August. Meetings begin at 7 p.m.

The term would begin immediately and end May 31, 2012.

The deadline to apply is 5 p.m. Sept. 16. Applicants should submit a résumé and a letter of interest to Jennifer Clark, Board of County Commissioners, P.O. Box 5000, Vancouver, WA, 98666-5000. Applications may also be faxed to 360-397-6058 or sent to jennifer.clark@clark.wa.gov.
