Woodland police arrested a 52-year-old man Tuesday after he allegedly took a photo up a woman’s skirt in the Hi-School Pharmacy and was tackled by Lamiglas employees.

The suspect carried no identification and spoke little English, but he told officers his name is Lorenzo Lopez-Valazsquez, according to a bulletin from the Woodland Police Department.

He was arrested on suspicion of felony voyeurism and fourth-degree assault with sexual motivation, the bulletin said.

Officers were called to the store along Lewis River Road about 2:20 p.m. Tuesday. A woman’s daughter said she saw the suspect take a photo up her mother’s skirt and the mother confronted him. He ran outside with at least one store employee after him, and eluded the employee in a field.

Minutes later, the bulletin said, the suspect ran past Lamiglas and two employees tackled him and detained him.

When police arrived, they learned the suspect may have suffered a broken arm when he was tackled, so he was given first aid and taken to a hospital, where he remained later Tuesday evening.

The suspect had been in the store with his wife and two children when he allegedly took the photo, the bulletin said.

The investigation continues.
