SEATTLE (AP) — A man who strangled another man and pushed his body out of a car in south Seattle was sentenced Monday in King County Superior Court to 10 year in prison.

Twenty-nine-year-old Gabriel Phipps of Shoreline was convicted last month of second-degree murder in his second trial in the slaying two years ago of 62-year-old Gary Seaman of Seattle.

Phipps had claimed self defense, and his first trial ended in a mistrial.
