THE HAGUE, Netherlands (AP) — Dutch prosecutors say they are questioning two men arrested at Amsterdam’s international airport at the request of American authorities who found a cell phone taped to a Pepto-Bismol bottle and a knife and box cutter in checked luggage connected with the men.

National prosecutor’s office spokesman Martijn Boelhouwer says the two men were arrested Monday morning at Schiphol Airport and were being held there for questioning.

He said Tuesday the men were arrested by airport police after getting off a flight from Chicago and handed over to national investigators.

Boelhouwer declined to comment further, saying the investigation was still under way. Dutch authorities do not release the names of suspects in criminal investigations.
