ASHBURN, Va. (AP) — Washington Redskins receiver Malcolm Kelly has had a setback in his attempt to return from a hamstring injury.

Kelly pulled his left hamstring again Monday in his first practice since the early days of training camp. Kelly won’t play in Thursday’s preseason finale and is now a candidate for injured reserve.

Donovan McNabb and Clinton Portis remain unable to practice, each with a sprained ankle. McNabb again wore a compression stocking on his left leg as he watched the workout. Neither was expected to play Thursday even if healthy.

Coach Mike Shanahan said McNabb and Portis are day to day, but teammates expect both to play in the season opener against Dallas.
