South Dakota tops Wyoming 80-70

VERMILLION, S.D. (AP) — Louie Krogman scored a season-high 29 points to lead South Dakota to an 80-70 victory over Wyoming on Wednesday night.

Krogman shot 9 for 16 from the floor, including six 3-pointers to tie his career best.

The Coyotes (3-4) led by as many as 10 points in the first half and were up 43-37 at halftime thanks to 50 percent shooting from the floor.

Wyoming (2-5) came back in the first four minutes after the break to outscore the Coyotes 13-5 and take a two-point lead.

But South Dakota went on to shoot 52 percent from the field in the second half and the Cowboys couldn’t keep pace, shooting 38 percent.

Charlie Westbrook finished with 14 points for the Coyotes.

Amath M’Baye led the Cowboys with 15 points while Desmar Jackson and Afam Muojeke each scored 14 and Djibril Thiam added 12.
