CORAL GABLES, Fla. (AP) — Jon Gruden is saying again that he’s committed to staying at ESPN.

Gruden says he’s “very thankful” to have the job as an analyst on “Monday Night Football,” and that he’s sorry about all the speculation that’s surrounded his future over the last few days.

Gruden has been linked to Miami’s coaching vacancy for much of the last week. His ESPN contract runs through 2011.

Gruden won a Super Bowl with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and also has coached the Oakland Raiders. He began working as an analyst for ESPN in 2009.

Miami is seeking a replacement for Randy Shannon, who was fired Saturday after the Hurricanes completed a 7-5 regular season with an overtime loss to South Florida.
