ASHBURN, Va. (AP) — Safety LaRon Landry will miss his third straight game with a left Achilles’ tendon injury, and cornerback Carlos Rogers will sit out with sore hamstrings when the Washington Redskins visit the New York Giants on Sunday.

Coach Mike Shanahan has ruled out both players Friday. Landry continues to wear a walking boot, but Shanahan says the boot might come off next week. The Redskins are concerned the tendon might rupture if Landry had kept playing.

Rogers missed one game with a sore right hamstring, then hurt the left hamstring when he returned for last week’s loss to Minnesota.

Running back Ryan Torain is limited in practice with a sore hamstring that has kept him out of three games. Shanahan says Torain will be a game-time decision.
