ELON, N.C. (AP) — Drew Spradlin scored 23 points and Roger Dugas added 21 to lead Elon over Gardner-Webb 90-82 on Tuesday night.

Dugas was 4 of 4 from 3-point range, Spradlin 3 of 5 and Chris Long, who had 13 points, was 3 of 5 as the long-range shot helped the Phoenix (3-5) snap a three-game losing skid.

Elon led 44-36 at halftime and used an 11-2 run in the second half to overcome a 68-67 deficit. Dugas’ 3 capped the spurt, putting the Phoenix up 78-70 with 5:24 left. The Runnin’ Bulldogs would get no closer than four the rest of the way.
