Eastern Kentucky defeats Kentucky Christian 95-45

RICHMOND, Ky. (AP) — Spencer Perrin scored 16 points to lead Eastern Kentucky to a 95-45 blowout win over Division II Kentucky Christian on Wednesday night.

The Colonels (5-4) led 39-11 after two free throws from Willie Cruz with 4:03 remaining in the opening half and took a 41-16 lead into halftime.

Perrin scored 10 of his points in the first half, while Joshua Jones and Josh Daniels added nine points apiece before halftime.

Eastern Kentucky started the second half on a 20-9 run, stretching its lead to 61-25 with 11:31 left to play.

Twelve players scored at least two points for the Colonels in the second half as Eastern Kentucky shot 19 for 31 from the floor (61.3 percent), including 7 for 11 from 3-point range (63.6 percent).

The Knights (4-7) shot 19 of 57 from the field (33.3 percent), turned the ball over 21 times and were outrebounded 42-26.

Casey Jones led Kentucky Christian with 10 points.
