A pedestrian was fatally injured Friday evening when he was struck by a pickup in west Vancouver.
Vancouver Fire Department Capt. Kevin Murray and Vancouver police said the -pedestrian, 75, was -walking east when he was hit by a northbound truck at 5:33 p.m. near the intersection of
West 12th and Jefferson streets. The driver stopped and called 911. Alcohol was not involved.
The pedestrian was transported to Southwest Washington Medical Center, where he later was pronounced dead, police said in a bulletin. His name was not immediately released.
