Mark Morris High grad Austin Bragg scored 21 points to lead five Clark College players in double figures as the Penguins defeated the Concordia JV 84-51 on Thursday at the O’Connell Center.

Clark (4-2) has won its last three games.

Camas grad Dan Anderson and Fort Vancouver grad Arman Kalan each had 12 points, and Mountain View grad Lucas Swanson and Skyview grad Durham Rosser each added 10 points.

Clark held a huge rebounding advantage 51-29. Bragg led the Penguins with eight, and Kalan had seven.

Coach Mike Arnold said his team played a slow first half, but picked up a nice tempo in second half behind the second unit, which saw plenty of playing time.

“These games (against JV teams) help us get into a rhythm,” he said.

The Penguins are off until they host their Holiday Invitational, Dec. 27-29 at the O’Connell Center. Teams scheduled to compete along with the Penguins include Vancouver Island, Seattle, Chemeketa, Big Bend, Portland, Wenatchee Valley and Umpqua.
