RENO, Nev. (AP) — Nevada football coach Chris Ault is being recommended for a two-year contract extension after leading the Wolf Pack to a 12-1 regular-season record and the No. 13 ranking.

The Wolf Pack will face Boston College on Jan. 9 in the Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl in San Francisco.

The 64-year-old Ault, in his 26th overall season as Nevada’s head coach, earns a base annual salary of $443,093, plus performance bonuses. The extension will add two years to Ault’s existing contract, which has another year left, and will run through the 2013 season.

Details haven’t been finalized, and regents will consider the contract next year.
