MEDFORD, Ore. (AP) — The trial has been postponed for a man accused of killing a 15-year-old Southern Oregon girl who disappeared while walking to church in 1996.

Jackson County District Attorney Mark Huddleston said Monday that attorneys for William Frank Simmons need more time to review evidence provided by prosecutors in the case.

The trial had been scheduled to being Feb. 8. No new trial date has been set.

Kaelin (KAY’-linn) Rose Glazier was a sophomore at South Medford High School when she disappeared in the Applegate Valley community of Ruch in November, 1996. Her body was discovered in 2008 in a field near where Simmons lived at that time.

He was a person of interest in the case for years before his arrest last April.
