BRISTOL, Conn. (AP) — “Monday Night Football” is enjoying its best year in five seasons.

Since coming to ESPN from broadcast network ABC for the 2006 NFL season, the show has produced the top 10 biggest household audiences on cable, including four this season.

ESPN says that Monday night’s finale between the New Orleans Saints and Atlanta Falcons was the most-watched show of the year.

The network said its 17 Monday night telecasts in 2010 averaged a 10.5 rating, according to Nielsen. The Saints-Falcons game drew a 13.0, meaning nearly 13,000,000 households viewed the game.
