WASHINGTON (AP) — Washington coach Flip Saunders will miss the Wizards’ game Wednesday night against Indiana “due to a family emergency involving his mother.”
Assistant coach Randy Wittman will substitute for Saunders, who is in his second season as Washington’s coach. Entering Wednesday’s game, the Wizards are 7-22.
There is no word whether Saunders will return for Washington’s next game in Indianapolis on Friday.
