SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) — Spokane police chief Anne Kirkpatrick has applied for the same job in Seattle.
Kirkpatrick informed the mayor and other city leaders of her action on Thursday.
A press release from the police department said she will not give interviews or make any other comments about the process.
She has been Spokane chief since 2006.
