Riley is a 7 1/2 -year-old female black and white domestic short hair. She was found as a stray dragging one of her back legs and was brought to us so we could treat her. We actually found her owner but they were unable to take her back. So now our vet staff has taken care of her leg, which is much better. She has a little arthritis in her back left hip but otherwise has a clean bill of health and is ready to go home. She is a sweet, affectionate cat. She seems to get along well with everyone she meets and should do well in any loving home.

Rambo is a 7-year-old Glen of Imaal Terrier. Rambo needs an owner who is home all day or someone who is willing to take him to work with them. He could be crate-trained. He needs a home with no kids under 6. If you have kids over 6 or other dogs at home, please bring them in to meet Rambo. He would not do well in a home with cats, as the terrier in him says kitties are for chasing.

These pets are among those available for adoption from noon to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and noon to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Humane Society for Southwest Washington, 1100 N.E. 192nd Ave., Vancouver. Fees — which can include registered microchip, health exam, a spay or neuter certificate and vaccination — vary. Call 360-693-4746.
