TUALATIN, Ore. — Portland Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge will sit out Monday’s road game against the Los Angeles Clippers.

Aldridge, who is recovering from a left ankle sprain, will also not travel with the team, Blazers coach Nate McMillan said.

Aldridge is averaging 16.0 points and 7.8 rebounds for the Blazers (22-13). He did not play in Saturday’s 105-89 victory over the Golden State Warriors at the Rose Garden.

Rookie forward Jeff Pendergraph will again replace Aldridge in Portland’s starting lineup, McMillan said.

In addition, guard Steve Blake (pneumonia) has been released from the hospital. He will be re-evaluated next week, but will not travel with the Blazers for Monday’s game against the Clippers, the team said.
