PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — A prosecutor says a TriMet bus passenger accused of sneakily snipping a fellow passenger’s hair as he sat behind her on New Year’s Eve is a suspect in a number of similar incidents.

Jared Weston Walter pleaded not guilty Monday in Multnomah County Circuit Court to third-degree robbery, interfering with public transit, second-degree disorderly conduct and harassment.

During the hearing, Deputy District Attorney Chuck French said the 22-year-old man is a suspect in a number of incidents in which women riders have either had their hair cut or glued on TriMet buses. TriMet spokeswoman Bekki Witt says three similar incidents have been reported in the past six weeks.

The Oregonian reports that Walter as an outstanding warrant on an assault charge in King County, Wash., in connection with a hair-gluing incident.
