Community will honor retired Councilor Pat Jollota

The public is invited to attend a free community celebration for retired Vancouver City Councilor Pat Jollota, 4 to 6:30 p.m., Tuesday at the Water Resources Education Center, 4600 S.E. Columbia Way.

A program will begin at 5 p.m. Light refreshments will be served.

Pat Jollota has been a member of the Vancouver City Council since 1990. Before running for elected office, Jollota was the curator at the Clark County Historical Museum. Jollota retired from the Los Angeles Police Department after working for it for 22 years in emergency communications.

During her time on the city council, Jollota championed public safety, historic preservation and was a strong advocate for children and animals.
