PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — A 48-year-old man was killed in Garibaldi on the Oregon coast and a woman was assaulted, authorities say.
Tillamook County sheriff’s deputies said Tuesday they have a suspect in custody after a woman called sheriff’s dispatchers at about 11:40 p.m. Monday.
Sheriff Todd Anderson said the woman’s husband called about 20 minutes later to tell police he would wait for them at the Moehler Co-op.
Anderson said the man was charged with aggravated murder while the woman was treated at a local hospital and released.
