PASCO, Wash. (AP) — Prosecutors have charged a 36-year-old man with one count of first-degree child molestation after a report that a young girl was sexually assaulted at a Pasco drugstore.
A Franklin County Superior Court judge has ordered Bobby Lee Wilson held on $100,000 bail. Wilson is scheduled to appear in court Tuesday to enter a plea to the charge.
Police say a woman in the drugstore turned her back and then heard her daughter scream. She then saw a man inappropriately touching her daughter.
The Tri-City Herald reports that Wilson is registered as a Level III sex offender with a high risk to re-offend. If convicted of the new charge, he would be locked up for life under Washington’s “Two Strikes” law for certain sex offenses.
