The Vancouver Police Department is asking the public’s help locating a man suspected of committing a string of armed robberies, most recently Tuesday night at the Union 76 convenience store located at 6510 E. Mill Plain Blvd., west of Andresen Road in the McLoughlin Heights area.

The man has made of habit of holding clerks at knife point while emptying the cash register, according to a press release.

He is described as a Hispanic male, between 25 and 35 years old, with a stocky build, dark hair and a mustache. He is believed to be about 5 feet 8 inches and more than 200 pounds. The suspect wears a dark hooded sweatshirt and a glove on one hand.

Police believe he’s responsible for five robberies, beginning with a Dec. 23 heist at the B&B Food Mart, 8411 E. Maill Pain Blvd.

He is also a suspect in robberies at another Union 76 location, an Arco convenience store and a 7-Eleven.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Vancouver Police Sergeant Scott Creager, in its major crimes unit, at 360-487-7424.
