MEDFORD, Ore. (AP) — The Medford Municipal Court and Jackson County Justice Court are proposing a temporary amnesty to help drivers who have had their license suspended because of unpaid traffic tickets.
The program would allow suspended drivers to save 25 percent on their outstanding tickets if they pay the entire balance.
Municipal Court clerk Denise Bostwick says the program would start Feb. 1 and continue through the end of April.
Medford Municipal Court has about 17,000 active suspension requests registered with Oregon Driver and Motor Vehicle Services. The court handles parking, traffic and city ordinance citations issued by Medford police.
