CENTRALIA, Wash. (AP) — A police officer has fired a shot at an armed man in a Centralia credit union.

A police spokesman told KOMO Radio the officer had responded to a report of a suspicious man Monday morning at the TwinStar credit union. When the officer arrived a woman mouthed the words “somebody has a gun.”

The officer pulled the woman to safety, saw the man with a gun and fired.

The officer withdrew. Police have surrounded the credit union and are bringing in a negotiator.
