BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Eighteen Idaho Air National Guardsmen of the 124th Civil Engineering Squadron are poised to leave for Haiti to help with relief efforts.

The guardsmen are scheduled to leave Boise Tuesday to take part in Operation Unified Response.

Their mission includes setting up tents and providing power, sanitation, water and refrigeration for food storage for other military forces. They will be deployed for about 90 days.

The guardsmen will first travel to an Air Force base in Charleston, South Carolina, and then on to the Caribbean country ravaged by a Jan. 12 earthquake.
