SEATTLE (AP) — A 24-year-old Snoqualmie man accused of spray-painting racist and anti-Semitic graffiti on several Snoqualmie churches and other buildings has been charged with nine counts of malicious harassment.

Adam Moore has been jailed since July 11, when Snoqualmie police confronted him inside a tavern where he was accused of writing racist comments on a poster. Moore is accused of punching an officer and biting his arm so hard he broke the skin. Moore was charged with third-degree assault in that encounter.

Police say the incidents of hate graffiti have stopped in Snoqualmie since Moore’s arrest. In addition to churches, targets included a Snoqualmie Indian Tribe office and a market owned by a Korean-American family.

In December, Moore was taken to Western State Hospital for a mental competency evaluation in the incident with the officer.

Court documents say Moore refers to himself as a “satanic Aryan” on his MySpace page.
