WASHINGTON (AP) — President Barack Obama’s schedule is echoing his State of the Union address in its calls for job creation and bipartisanship.
Obama takes his vision for revitalizing the economy to Baltimore on Friday, where he’ll tour a small business. He’ll deliver a speech there on a jobs tax credit, a proposal offered up during Wednesday’s address to Congress.
Later, Obama speaks at the annual retreat of House Republicans. Obama has been calling for GOP input in legislation, saying Thursday he wanted “the Republicans off the sidelines.”
He will return to the White House for a meeting with Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner (GYT’-nur), who faces congressional anger over the bailout of insurance giant AIG.
