HELMER, Idaho (AP) — Northern Idaho authorities say one of two teens charged with shooting vehicles along a state highway last week is back in custody after investigators seized a pipe bomb from his home.

The Latah County Prosecutor has charged two 14-year-old, Deary High School freshmen with two counts each of unlawful discharge of a firearm at a vehicle. Prosecutors say the teens fired rifles and a crossbow at vehicles traveling on State Highway 8. Nobody was hurt in the shootings and a majority of the hits were to trucks.

The Lewiston Tribune reports investigators seized a pipe bomb from the home of one of the boys during a search Thursday. Police now have the teen back in custody and are recommending prosecutors charge him with unlawful possession of a bomb.

A bomb squad was called in to disable the bomb.
