ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) — The Anaheim Ducks have traded defenseman Steve Eminger to the New York Rangers for left wing Aaron Voros and minor leaguer Ryan Hillier.

Eminger was a disappointment in his only season with Anaheim, scoring 16 points in 63 games amid several healthy scratches and a minor league demotion. He played with Washington, Philadelphia and Tampa Bay before signing with the Ducks last September.

Eminger’s departure leaves Lubomir Visnovsky, Sheldon Brookbank, James Wisniewski and newcomer Toni Lydman as the Ducks’ only experienced NHL defensemen.

Voros scored seven points in 41 games with the Rangers last year, his third NHL campaign. He’ll compete for a fourth-line spot in Anaheim after Matt Brown was traded to Toronto last month.
