PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — The birth mother of an Oregon boy missing for over a month says in a TV interview she thinks the boy’s stepmother carefully planned his disappearance.

The stepmother, Terri Horman, has not been named as a suspect in the disappearance of 7-year-old Kyron Horman.

But in a Tuesday interview with NBC’s “Today” show, the birth mother — Desiree Young — reiterated her accusation that Terri Horman was involved. Young said she believes Kyron’s disappearance was “very planned.”

Before he disappeared, Kyron lived with his stepmother and his birth father in Portland. Desiree Young lives in Medford.

The birth father, Kaine Horman, has also said he believes Terri Horman was involved in Kyron’s disappearance.
