PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — A man arrested in Vancouver, Wash., in the New Year’s Day 1993 slaying of a Portland woman has pleaded not guilty to charges of aggravated murder and murder.
Brad Ballantyne is charged in the death of 30-year-old Kimberly Dunkin. He entered his plea Thursday after his extradition from Washington.
Dunkin was found shot to death in her car on a Portland street.
KGW-TV says court documents allege that the 35-year-old Ballantyne caused Dunkin’s death as he tried to commit a robbery. He’s being held without bail.
Portland police cold case homicide detectives arrested the man in June.
